I'm getting too old to chase moose in the brush, so I decided to build a 500 yd. moose gun. It took 9 months to get it all together along with an IOR-Valdada 3-18 x 42mm Tactical scope. HSM 300g. ammo places inside 5" at 900 yds. Yup, I like it.
It was shipped in an inexpensive case and the parkerized finish was rubbed in a couple of spots. I will try getting around to Dura-Coating it before moose season, just to please Mayor Bloomberg.

I HAD TO WAIT 2 YEARS TO GET MINE AS THEY WERE OUT OF PRODUCKTION FOR 2 YEARS. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT. I FOUND THE RIGHT LOAD AT THE VERY BEGINNING AND AM SHOOTING SUB HALF MOA GROUPS. BEST SO FAR IS A .37 MOA AT 300 YARDS WITH SWIRLING 10 MILE PER HOUR WIND GUSTS. THIS RIFLE IS COMFORTABLE TO SHOOT AND WILL STOP ANY ANIMAL ON THIS PLANET.IT IS A RUGGED AND SIMPLE RIFLE THAT FUNCTIONS WELL FOR A LOT LESS MONEY THAN ITS COMPETITION. I LOVE IT SO MUCH THAT I WILL CONSIDER A SECOND ONE.

The pros vastly outweigh the cons as far as quality of this rifle is concerned. The biggest is the price of ammo, if you dont reload, learn. The recoil pad on the rifle is superb, I can shoot this rifle all day long no worries. My friends wife, who is 4''11 and 110 lbs soaking wet shot it just fine. The only issues I have with the rifle is that the grip is set up like a typical AR platform, very close to the trigger. I find that I almost have no hold on the grip while shooting for proper trigger control, but at the same time I have large hands. Second, the stock on the rifle has a prong protruding forward from the skeleton to the grip, which my hand finds quite easily and it gets annoying. 3rd is the trigger, very heavy for a precision rifle, and I have yet to find a replacement for it. All in all I am still very pleased with this weapon. I can consistently hit 2 liter bottles at 700 yds with my nightforce strapped to the back of the gun.
