This compact Ruger in .338RCM is my new mountain rifle for Elk, Moose, Bear, and Deer. It''s lightweight, making it comfortable to carry all day. Besides the additional weight savings, the handy 20 barrel is a real plus in tight cover or up in a tree. For dangerous game hunts, or just for hunting in dangerous game territory, this rifle and cartridge combination will prvide the quick swinging and appropriate firepower to get it done. Just think, nearly .338 Win Mag performance in a lightweight and handy package with less recoil due to the the specific cartridge case design and modern gun powders. In a crowded .338 market, this rifle/cartridge combination has cut out a place for itself.

I just got back from my hunting trip in Idaho. We where hunting the panhandle for white tail deer. I had filled my tag the first day of hunting. The 338 RCM rolled the deer one shoot @ 200 Yards from a tree stand. The RCM is light, shot, and easy to handle in tight places. I think this rifle has a place in the hunting world.
