Taurus International
Based on the largely popular Taurus 92 design, the Taurus International PT-100 is chambered for the massive stopping power of the 40 Smith and Wesson round. Featuring Taurus' Security System, the PT-100 can be made inoperable with the simple turn of a key. With the Security System engaged, the Taurus PT-100 cannot be fired or cocked and the manual safety cannot be disengaged. Equipped with a forged-alloy frame, fixed one-dot front sight, and adjustable two-dot rear sight, the Taurus PT-100 offers outstanding accuracy and performance, without sacrificing durability and strength. I''m happy. This is a large frame pistol. Close to a 1911. I really like the way the barrel locks into the slide. The extractor consistantly ejects brass clear of the pistol, without damageing the brass. Extra mags aren''t too expensive. Wide range of ammo is available most places at reasonable prices. Mine doesn''t have a security system. The front sight has a shallow hole,, lined with white paint. Under direct light it''s great. Anything else it dissapears. I first tried bright, red nail-polish. I''ve got some glo-dots on the way for now. Will look into more expensive stuff later. DA trigger is a little rough, SA is just fine. De-cocker is a little scarey. It''s a good pistol. Some call it a budget Beretta.

Bought this pistol as a duty pistol due to the extra safeties that Glock does not provide, and also saved me from having to spend in the upward thousands of dollars for a kimber. I love the gun thus far! I have put about 5 Bricks of FMJ through it, and no prob what so ever. The gun replicates the the 92 Baretta FS so it is a very easy gun to maintain, and fix if there were anything to go wrong with it. The .40 Cal round is a great round also so that is a plus about this Pistol. I love this pistol, and wouldnt carry it on me to protect my self if I didnt think it was a sound investment. Get one!
